NSF (COMPUTER SCIENCE, ENGINEERING, AND MATHEMATICS) SCHOLARSHIP 

First Year at Northwest-Shoals Community College 

1.   Must be U.S. citizen, national, or alien admitted as refugee at the time of application.

2.   Must have financial need, defined for undergraduate students by the U.S. Department of Education rules for federal financial aid.

3.   Submit an application for admission to the college.

4.   Supply a transcript of high school and/or college credits.

5.   Maintain a 2.5 GPA while enrolled.

6.   Must be enrolled full-time (at least 12 credit hours per semester) in computer science, computer technology, engineering, engineering technology, and/or mathematics degree programs at the associate degree level.

7.   Must participate in internship program, typically in summer semester.

8.   Return all materials, supplies, and equipment that are checked out from the Technology Centers.

 Second Year at Northwest-Shoals Community College (if renewed)

 1.  Maintain a 2.5 GPA while enrolled.

2.   Must be enrolled full-time (at least 12 credit hours per semester) in computer science, computer technology, engineering, engineering technology, and/or mathematics degree programs at the associate degree level.

3.   Scholarships will be honored for two calendar years only or upon completion of the program providing all criteria are met.

4.   The scholarship will be terminated upon graduation or transfer to another institution.

5.   Return all materials, supplies, and equipment that are checked out from the Technology Centers.
