Northwest-Shoals Broadcasting (NWSB) has moved to Channel 192 on ComCast Digital Cable.

If you have a digital input on your TV, you can still get NWSB on Channel 65-109.  Also, ComCast will provide a Digital Cable Box for free.  Please contact ComCast directly for additional information on a Digital Cable Box.

On August 1, 2000, Northwest-Shoals Community College became the first two-year college in the state of Alabama to operate a cable television channel.  Northwest-Shoals began broadcasting programs on a 24 hour a day, seven-day a week cable channel through a partnership with Comcast Cable of Florence, Alabama.  This partnership enables Northwest-Shoals to deliver distance education courses, cable-assisted courses, adult education programs, and community service programs to over 32,000 homes in the Northwest Alabama region.  The Northwest-Shoals cable station, channel 59, supports the Distance Education Program in providing education to those students who would not normally have access to educational opportunities.
