In order to complete the online application, applicants must:

  • Complete the Primary Form of Identification.
  • Email, mail, or bring a clear copy of your driver’s license to the Admissions Office on either campus.. 
  • Email, mail, or bring the completed Primary Form of Identification and a clear copy of your unexpired driver’s license to either the Shoals or Phil Campbell Campus Admissions Office. 
  • Complete the online admissions application by clicking the continue link below.
  • If you would like to give permission to release your NW-SCC records to parents, grandparents, spouse, and/or guardians, and other specified individuals, please complete this form and submit to admissions@nwscc.edu.

Nondiscrimination Policy

International Students

International students MUST submit their application for admission by mail or in person due to additional admission requirements.

Virtual Learning Guide (for new Distance Education students)

Students who plan to take online courses MUST also complete the Virtual Learning Guide (orientation) prior to the first day of class. Students should receive an email following registration with instructions on how to complete the orientation. Transfer Students

An applicant who has previously attended another regionally accredited college will be considered a transfer student and will be required to furnish official transcripts of all work attempted at all said institutions. Transfer students will also be required to submit the documents required of first-time college students including Selective Service documentation, if applicable.

Students who are currently attending another college or university who would like to take courses at NW-SCC to transfer to their primary college should review the information on transient students. 

Transient Students

Students who attend another college full-time and wish to earn credits at NW-SCC to transfer to their primary college may be admitted to NW-SCC as transient students. The student must submit an application for admission to NW-SCC and provide a transient letter from the primary college that certifies that the credits they earn will be accepted as a part of their academic program. The transient permission form must be properly signed by the appropriate official at the parent institution and must list the specific College course(s) for which the student has been approved to enroll. Transient students are not required to submit transcripts.
