What is Educational Talent Search?

Educational Talent Search (ETS) is a federally funded program designed to help selected students finish their education. It’s purpose is to assist 6th – 12th grade students in persisting through high school, graduating, and enrolling in college or Career Technical Schools after high school. Secondary or postsecondary school dropouts are also assisted in reenrolling in school, or in obtaining a GED.

Services provided by Educational Talent search are free.

Educational Talent Search helps students to:

  • Prepare to complete high school and enroll in a postsecondary program.
  • Learn about careers available to them through postsecondary education.
  • Apply for college and financial aid.
  • Complete their education if they dropped out of high school or stopped attending college before completing their degree.

ETS Programs are funded by the United States Department of Education.

Please contact Cindy Windborn, Educational Talent Search Director, at 256-331-5348 or cstewart@nwscc.edu, for general information on our Educational Talent Search programs.
