MUSCLE SHOALS, Ala. — Morgan Sennett, of Cherokee, Ala., received Northwest Shoals Community College’s (NWSCC) most prestigious honor recently,

when she was awarded the President’s Award for the Shoals campus.
Sennett is actively involved with the Northwest-Shoals Ambassadors, Student Government Association and a member of the Alpha Sigma Beta chapter of Phi Theta Kappa. While at Northwest Shoals Community College she has been selected as the recipient of the Northwest-Shoals Faculty/Staff Scholarship and the H. Neil Taylor Sr. and Charles Taylor Book Scholarship.
She has been consistently named to the President’s and Dean’s List for her academic achievements.
Sennett has also contributed to the community through her participation with Arc of the Shoals, The Salvation Army’s Angel Tree and distribution programs and can food drives.
The President’s Award is the most prestigious honor awarded by NWSCC. The faculty submits nominations to the Award Committee for the final selection. The recipient must have earned a grade point average of 3.7 or higher. Also, the recipient must have demonstrated leadership and actively participated in community service while attending NWSCC.
