Event: Northwest Shoals Community College (NWSCC) and the University of West Alabama (UWA) will hold an agreement signing ceremony Tuesday, July 14, 2020, at 2 p.m. on the Shoals campus. The agreement will make a seamless transfer process for students and create additional scholarship dollars for NWSCC students at UWA.
Who: The NWSCC and UWA signing ceremony will feature NWSCC President Dr. Glenda Colagross, UWA President Dr. Ken Tucker, and other college/university representatives.
What: The articulation agreement allows UWA and NWSCC to have a clearly defined transfer process that includes academic advising, enhanced communication, and scholarship opportunities. NWSCC students with a minimum 2.0 grade point average and 45-50 transferable credit hours are guaranteed admission at UWA. Also, students who complete their associate’s degree at NWSCC are guaranteed admission to UWA.
