MUSCLE SHOALS, ALA. — Northwest Shoals Community College (NWSCC) will host an awards reception and concert on the Shoals Campus to commemorate February as Black History Month on Monday, February 28, 2022.
The event will be provided by the NWSCC Cultural Affairs Committee in the Hospitality Center at 11:45 a.m. The awards reception and concert will feature notable alumni from the College: Dr. Jimmy Shaw, Florence City Schools Superintendent; Kenneth Brackins, Retired NWSCC Psychology Instructor; Nellie Eggleston, Retired Vice President of Card Services for TVA Credit Union; Dr. Roderick Sheppard, Florence High School Principal; Michele Hamilton-Gholston, NWSCC Admissions Counselor. Also, music will be provided by NWSCC employees: Brittany Jones, Elizabeth Harris and Grant Gunn.
Following the event, participants will have the opportunity to enjoy a Soul Food tasting.
