MUSCLE SHOALS, ALA. — Northwest Shoals Community College (NWSCC) will host the SkillsUSA Northwest Alabama District competition on the Shoals campus for over 200 high school students Friday, March 9, 2018, beginning at 8:30 a.m.

Students will compete in 21 Career Technical and Leadership contests. Career technical competitions include: Automotive Service, Carpentry, Cosmetology, Diesel Equipment Technology, Electronics Technology, Technical Drafting, and Welding.

Twelve (12) schools will be competing in the Northwest Alabama District.

  • Central High School

  • Florence High School

  • Franklin County Career Technical Center

  • Haleyville Center of Technology

  • Lawrence County Center of Technology

  • Limestone Career Technology Center

  • Muscle Shoals Career Academy

  • Russellville High School Career Technical

  • Winfield City High School

  • Winston County Technology Center

​The top four winners in each category will advance to the state competition April 23-25 in Birmingham.
