The 2022-2023 Graduation ceremony will be held outside on Thursday, May 11, 2023, at 6:00 pm on our Shoals campus. This ceremony is for any graduates who earned their NWSCC degree or certification Summer 2022, Fall 2022, and Spring 2023 semesters. To reserve your spot in the processional, please click the red button above and complete the online form. Graduates should arrive in their cap and gown at 5:00pm at Building 127 near the fountain. Upon arrival, you will be greeted by a member of our Student services team who will certify your graduation status and direct you to your line up area. All graduates must be lined up by 5:40pm to participate in the processional. Our ceremony will begin promptly at 6:00pm and last around 90 minutes. In the event of inclement weather, please check our college social media outlets for updates.
Our ceremony will be live-streamed on the official college Facebook page. Photos from the ceremony will be available for online for download within two business days.
Each graduate will be required to purchase their cap, gown, and tassel. Underneath your gown we recommend business professional attire such as dresses, dark pants, and dress shoes. Please consider the weather when choosing your attire as the ceremony will be held outside. Cap decorations are allowed, but must not block the view of the person behind you and should be respectful. Honor cords and sashes are available for purchase from our campus bookstore. We do not provide a rehearsal prior to the event. All graduates will receive details instructions via email. If you require special accommodations, please indicate any needs in the graduation registration form. Once you walk across the stage you will receive a diploma holder only. Actual diplomas are mailed to you at a later date. Please respect all graduates by remaining in your assigned seat until the ceremony concludes.
Guests of graduates should plan to arrive around 5:40pm. There is currently no restrictions on the number of guests allowed to attend. Limited seating will be available; however, guests are encouraged to bring their own lawn chairs. Tents and umbrellas are not allowed.
